This information covers contractual, career, events, social, health, safety, and more. The posting of information is contingent on membership and State Officer contributions. 11/28/22: The date for the region 9 rap session has been announced but the location has yet to be determined. OCTOBER 6 – 8, 2023. Thank you, Michael Hamilton, for letting us know. This notification was already sent by someone earlier this month and this as well as that earlier notification is on the "Dates to Remember" page.
11/21/22: Under "Highlighted Topic" below I gave a little content as to why the NALC health plan may be the best plan for you and your family. The coverage is great of course; however, the cost is so good that having the plan is so cost effective that the savings may pay for your union membership. This is particularly true when comparing to Blue Cross. I haven't looked recently at the difference in cost of these two plans, but I know the NALC is significantly a better value when it comes to cost, and the benefits are very comparable if not better in many areas.
11/21/22: I deleted the "Very Latest Content" from June through September. However, the content may still be on this website and be relevant so please look through the site at the information posted. On another note, I put my wife on the Aetna Advantage program. I really saw benefits and no downside. If you or a member under your insurance is 65 or older you may want to look into this plan. Finally, on one last topic. I will have to admit that I am a little disappointed in contributions this website this year so far. Any failures of this website to become an essential useful tool for the membership lies directly with those officers obligated by the bylaws to submit contributions, but are not doing so, and those members who have information that the membership needs to know, whether it be postal, union related or not.

10/31/22: Copy of Area districts along with their dues and a letter by Justin Hill -region 9: click here and here. Among other things in the letter you will find out the % of members to members. For example, CCA membership is around 71%. With the copy of area districts, you will see each branch in this district and the dues that they are paying.

10/31/22: Thank you for the uptick in people coming to the site at 160%. I still would like to see more contributions from the membership and officers. With Open Season starting November 14, members may want to review their options for health coverage. Among the many benefits our plan offers, the NALC is now offering new coverage options for those under Medicare with an advantage plan endorsed by the NALC. Look at the info at the bottom of this page under "Highlighted Topic" section.

10/31/22: From May till the end of October we highlighted the NALC Nalcrest as an option for letter carriers as a place to visit and stay on vacation or a place to retire. November's highlight is the NALC health plan since open season is upon us from Nov 14 till December 12. I am not changing plans. I am staying with the NALC. The rates are cheaper than many plans, and the benefits are great. If you take a look and compare, you'll find this a top tier plan to consider.
